Construction cost is usually quoted per square foot of built-up area. In 2026 most turnkey packages for independent houses fall between ₹1,800 and ₹2,600 per sq ft.
What the rate includes
A per-sq-ft package typically covers the structure, masonry, flooring, electrical and plumbing, doors and windows, and painting. Always check what brand and grade each item is.
Why cities differ
Labour, sand and aggregate prices change from city to city. Metro regions such as Gurugram and Bengaluru usually cost 10–15% more than tier-2 cities.
