About Design SQR

One team, from the first sketch to the final handover.

Design SQR is an architecture, interior and engineering studio that also builds what it draws. We design homes for Indian plots and Indian families, and take the same drawings through approval, construction and handover.

Our story

Building a house should not mean managing five different vendors.

Most families in India build a house once. They hire an architect for the plan, a structural engineer for the columns, a contractor for the civil work and an interior firm at the end — and spend the next year carrying messages between them. When something goes wrong on site, each one points at the other's drawing.

Design SQR was set up to remove that gap. Architecture, interiors and engineering sit in one studio, and the same team takes the project to site. The plan is drawn knowing how it will be built, and it is built by people who understand why it was drawn that way.

You can use us for the drawings alone — a 2D plan for a 30x40 plot, a 3D front elevation, a full interior set — or hand us the whole job, from the first layout to the day you get the keys.

How we work

Six stages, each one finished before the next begins.

A typical G+1 home takes 8 to 12 months from foundation to handover, depending on size, weather and approvals. These are the stages you will see, in order.

  1. Brief and site study

We note your plot size, facing, road width and budget, who will live on which floor, and whether you want Vastu, parking or a rental unit.

  2. Layout and 3D

You compare layout options, then see the chosen one as a 3D floor plan and front elevation. Revisions happen here, on paper, where they are cheap.

  3. Working drawings and approval

Structural, electrical and plumbing drawings follow, along with the drawings your local authority needs for the sanction plan.

  4. Foundation and structure

Excavation, footings, columns, beams and slabs. Each stage is checked before concrete is poured and photographed for your records.

  5. Finishing

Brickwork, plaster, waterproofing, flooring, electrical and plumbing fittings, doors, windows and paint — to the specification in your package.

  6. Handover

A joint walkthrough, a snag list we close, and the drawings and warranty papers for the house handed over with the keys.

Why families choose us

What you can hold us to.

A price you can check

Packages are priced in ₹ per sq ft of built-up area and listed on this website. Multiply by your area and you know the order of cost before you call us.

Payments follow work

Every instalment is tied to a finished stage — foundation, each slab, brickwork, finishing — never to a calendar date alone.

Drawings before digging

Structure, electrical and plumbing are drawn and agreed before construction starts, which is what keeps changes and extra bills down later.

Vastu when you want it

If Vastu matters to your family, we plan the entrance, kitchen, master bedroom and puja room around it — and still keep the house bright and airy.

You see the site

Stage photos are shared as the work moves, so families who live in another city or abroad can follow the build without chasing anyone.

One team to answer

The people who draw the house are answerable for how it is built. There is no architect-versus-contractor gap for problems to fall into.
